Prosecutors would ask the court to sentence the Colombian Star Shakira to eight years and two months in prison if convicted in her trial for alleged tax fraud.
The singer this week rejected a settlement deal offered by prosecutors, and chose to go to trial instead. A trial date that yet to be set.
The Singer’s Spanish public relations team stated earlier this week that the artist has deposited the amount that was announced, including $4.8 Million Euros in interest.
