Will Smith Apologizes To Chris Rock In An Emotional Video He Shared On Instagram 3 Hours Ago
Will Smith has posted a 5 minutes video 3 hours ago, Friday 29th 2022 on his Instagram account apologizing to the Comedian Chris Rock for slapping his in front of all the guests at The Oscars earlier this year. Everything Will Smith said on the video titled Will Smith Apologizes To Chris Rock.

The video started by a written message that appeared on a foggy screen with the noises of the staff in the background, the message says: “It’s been a minute… Over the last few months, I’ve been doing a lot of thinking and personal work…” It also says “You asked a lot of fair questions that i wanted to take some time to answer.”
Will shows up after the message vanishes and sit on what appears to be a couch, Will starts directly reading outload the questions that was sent to him and then answers them afterwards.
“Why didn’t apologize to chris in your acceptance speech? “, Replies to that by saying: “Umm…I was fogged out by that point, It’s all fuzzy, I’ve reached out to Chris and the message that came came is that he’s not ready to talk. and when he is he will reach out, so I will say to you, chris, I Apologize To You, my behavior was unacceptable and am here whenever you’re ready to talk”
He adds: “I want to apologize to Chris’s mother. I saw an interview that Chris’s mother did, and you know that was one of the things about that moment i just didn’t realize, and you know i wasn’t thinking, but how many people got hurt in that moment. so i want to apologize to Chris’s mother, Family, Tony Rock.”

“I spent the last three months replaying and understanding the nuance and complexity of what happened in that moment. I’m not going to try to unpack all of that right now, but I can say to all of you, there is no part of me that thinks that was the right way to behave in that moment. No part of me that thinks that is the optimal way to handle a feeling of disrespect or insult.”
The Smith replied to the question asking whether his wife Jada Pinkett Smith who was the target of the comedian’s joke, had asked him “to do something about it”.
” No, It’s like, I made a choice on my own, from my own experiences, from my history with Chris. Jada had nothing to do with it. I’m sorry, babe .I say sorry to my kids and my family for the heat that I brought on all of us. To all my fellow nominees, this is a community.”
He also added: “I won because you voted for me, and it really breaks my heart to have stolen and tarnished your moment. I can still see Questlove’s eyes – it happened on Questlove’s award. It’s like ‘I’m sorry’ really isn’t sufficient.”
And at the end Will spoke up on how the night has effected his mental state, “Two things. One: disappointing people is my central trauma. I hate when I let people down, so it hurts me psychologically and emotionally that I didn’t live up to peoples’ image and impression of me.” Smith said, “The work I am trying to do is –I am deeply remorseful and I’m trying to be remorseful without being ashamed of myself. I’m human and I made a mistake and I’m trying not to think of myself as a piece of s***. So I would say to those people, I know it was confusing. I know it was shocking. But I promise you, I am deeply devoted and committed to putting light and love and joy into the world.”
And he finished to video by saying: “If you hang on, I promise we will be able to be friends again.”
